Died. William Lorimer, 73, onetime "Blond Boss" of Illinois Republican politics whose U. S. Senatorship ended in notorious election scandals; of heart failure; in a Chicago railroad station washroom. Republican National Committeeman Clarence Clark Hamlin wired Senator Nye: "It is openly charged and I believe with much foundation that an effort is being made to purchase the Republican Senatorship in this State. . . ."
