...Scribner for June opens with "Life in a Logging Camp" by Arthur Hill. It is a very interesting sketch of camp life in Michigan, describing the finding and filling of the forest giants. The illustrations by Dan Beard are very good. "Under Cover of the Darkness" is a story by Russell Sullivan. It is a weird and withal very interesting story. It is something of a ghost story but finally everything is reasonably explained. "An Artist in Japan" is a good article though the best part of it is the illustrations.
