Alpheus Hyatt, S.B., Assistant in Invertebrate Palaeontology in the Museum of Comparative Zoology, died suddenly last night, probably of apoplexy. He was standing in Harvard square about half-past seven, evidently waiting for a car, when without any warning, he sank to the pavement, and died a few minutes later. Dr. Hildreth was summoned, but arrived too late to render any assistance. The body was removed to the home of the deceased at 19 Francis avenue.
