...Newell Freshmen are large, and should turn out well after a little more experience. They are rather short forward, lack snap, and slump at the finish of the stroke. The Weld Freshmen, though smaller than the Newell, have had more experience. At present they do not row well together, and as a result their boat rolls badly.
