...feature of the evening was Mr. Loeb's cello solo, a Gavotte by Popper. His whole playing was marked by surprising feeling and delicacy of touch, and called forth loud applause from the audience, which demanded an encore. He responded by a romance of Pergorlesi's, which was received with renewed applause.
