Usage:

Princeton has recently passed a rule forbidding the baseball coach to remain on the field during a game, and Yale has expressed its willingness to enforce the same rule in its contest with Princeton. The idea is, that with the coach directing the play from the bench, the contest is rather between coaches than teams.
