HARVARD, 4; TRINITY, 2.The game was rather uninteresting to witness, neither side doing any fine playing. Instead of the regular battery, Palmer and Jones of the freshman team pitched and caught until the sixth inning, when Tilden played behind the bat. Carpenter, of the Trinity nine, was hit by a ball in the fourth inning and was obliged to leave the field. His place was taken by Leaf, while Rogers took Leaf's place at left field. The game was stopped at the end of the sixth inning in order to allow Trinity to catch the train. Appended...

TUFTS, 1; hARVARD, 4.The game between Tufts and Harvard, yesterday afternoon, was rather uninteresting. Both nines failed to do respectable work with the bat. Harvard won the game in the first inning, by scoring four runs on errors, aided by a base hit. The fourth inning was enlivened by a brisk discussion with the umpire regarding a close decision by which a Tufts player was declared out at the home plate. At the close of the fifth inning the game was called an account of rain. The score...

CAMBRIDGE 1: HARVARD 20.The game of base-ball yesterday afternoon on Holmes Field, between a nine from Cambridge, and the Harvard nine, resulted in rather an ignominious defeat for the Cambridge nine. The game was marked by the heavy hitting of the Harvard nine, and the weak hitting and loose fielding of the Cambridge nine. Only two hits were made off of Winslow, both being scratch hits, while the score shows the heavy batting of Harvard. The only run made by the Cambridges, was made in the seventh inning, a muff by Willard, a passed ball, a force...

...Amherst freshmen complain loudly of the treatment they received in New Haven. The Yale boys made an unenviable reputation for roughness last year, but isn't it rather early for a repetition?- Boston Herald...
