Noyes broke through tackle, and hurdling the fullback, ran sixty yards for a touchdown. Knowlton missed the goal. 1903 returned the next kick-off. The Juniors punted and secured the ball, on a bad bounce, on the Sophomores' thirty-five yard line. Here, after a failure to gain, Willis missed a place-kick, and the half ended after the punt-out, with the ball in the Juniors' possession...

The Juniors, using the tackles-back formation, gained the touchdown in spite of a strong resistance by the Seniors. Chase missed the goal. Frequently on line plays they failed entirely to help each other through holes, and this lost good opportunities to score. The interference ran fairly smoothly, but was so slow in starting that the plays were often smothered before they formed. After twenty-five minutes of brisk signal practice the first and second elevens played a practice game as usual. L. Daly kicked off to Fincke, who ran thirty-five yards before being downed.
