Died. Admiral the Honorable Sir Edmund Robert Fremantle, 92, of London, "Father of the British Navy"; in London. Admiral Fremantle was the only surviving flag officer born in the reign of William IV. He entered the Royal Navy in 1849, serving on the three-decker Queen. His grandfather, Thomas Fremantle, captained the Neptune at Trafalgar (1805) under Lord Nelson.
