Highlight of the Winthrop-Lowell tilt came in the second-half. Puritan's fullback Ed Hindle started things with a 70-yard quick kick. Lowell called on Arnie Litt to punt the pigskin out of danger, but the Winthrop line, led by right end Baumgarten and left tackle Cole, broke through and blocked the attempt, with Colo recovering and running 20 yards for the score.
