Hoyt's new drama, "A Texas Steer," began its two weeks' engagement at Tremont Theatre Monday evening. Its main idea is the transformation of a rich Texan into a member of Congress. The cast, generally speaking, is most successful in the Texan manners, and Miss Walsh in particular displays charming abilities as "Bossy" Brander. Mr. Murphy is amusing as the cattle king, and Messrs. Stanley, Cullington and Finlay perform their parts successfully.
