The proposal then went to Pusey, and to the Radcliffe College Council, Radcliffe's official governing body, who formally asked the approval of the Harvard Corporation. The idea of a joint Commencement was suggested three years ago, Mrs. Bunting said, but was turned down by Pusey and the Corporation.

Six Harvard seniors have received Rhodes Scholarships for 1969-70. This gives the Class of 1970 the highest number of Rhodes Scholars in the country, followed by Yale with five and Princeton with three.
