In the CRIMSON of December 1, a letter by several Harvard students and professors accuses the Center for International Affairs, among other things, of being a "comfortable haven for research by war criminals like Huntington and Kissinger."
"We would like more scholarships to bring to Harvard members of foreign governments for training as well as trainee grants for our students to do research abroad," he added.
Lester E. Gordon, director of the DAS, and Gustav Papenak, former DAS director, refused to comment on the recommendations and the probability of their enactment.
To the Editors of the CRIMSON:
The language is scurrilous. Such words reflect either a moral self-aggrandizement on the part of the authors or an incitement to actions which can only be destructive of the University as a place which respects honest, even if profound, differences.
