The House of Representatives yesterday protested the delay in printing and publicly distributing a list of 57 "radical speakers."
"Right now," said track coach Bill McCurdy, "our problem is twofold. We've got to get more depth somehow, and we've got to have a higher level of performance from the people we've got."
The list, drawn up by the House Internal Security Committee, cited 57 campus speakers as supporters of militant, revolutionary, or Communist organizations, and stated that 142 speeches grossed $102,668 to promote "revolutionary activity."
Yesterday's House resolution, which passed 301-55, ordered the House superintendent of documents to print and distribute the report and prohibits any act that "obstructs or prevents" this from being done.
