...Nick Kristof '81 also broke a vow to himself by running this year. Four years ago as a high school sophomore in Oregon, Kristof completed his first marathon in 3:32. After the grueling race, he promised himself he would never run another. Yet this year, the Lowell House resident recalled the romantic side of the race and began to train at the start of the semester, registering seven to ten miles a day.
