...vigorous player and for his size gives a good account of himself. McCabe, one of the best line men on the team, is filling McCloskey's former position at centre quite satisfactorily. A competent candidate for left end has not yet been found and either Corley, Metzger, Ludes, or Nelson may finally get the place. Gardiner at right end has improved a great deal and can be depended upon to play a strong game. Back of the line, Howard at quarterback, has proved a worthy successor to Graves of last year's eleven. There are ten candidates for these positions, but only one man, Gardiner, a member of last year's eleven, is a good end.
