Last autumn English Critic W. J. Turner published a biography* of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (TIME, Sept. 6). Of especial interest was the rarely heard Mozart canon, "Bed Is Cozy" performed by the small chorus of the Leverett Glee Club, and the first American performance of the cantata "In Windsor Forest" taken from the opera "Sir John in Love" by Vaughn Williams.
