College (if there are any) are the only ones which are not inserted, as they could not be obtained in time to publish with this issue, but all the others will be found appended. Harvard's entry list is large this year, and we can confidently expect to see our representatives carry off more prizes than have ever before been brought back to Cambridge from an Intercollegiate Field Meeting. ...Harvard record being 4 min. 56 sec., made by Bell last spring. Their styles were noticeably different, Thorndike striking a long swinging gait, while Bell took a short, quick step, and apparently labored much more than his opponent. They will both run on Saturday, and are both entered for Mott Haven likewise, so we may expect to hear still better accounts of one or both of them before the 1st of June next...
THOSE members of the University who desire to compete in the Intercollegiate Sports at Mott Haven on the 29th of this month should not forget that their entries must be sent to W. F. Morgan, No. 1 East Fortieth St., New York City, before May 15 next (a week from to-morrow), as after that date no entry will be received...
