...recent number of the Yale News it is insinuated that Yale failed to get the Mott Haven cup last Saturday owing to 'reckless riding' or 'deliberate intention' of a Harvard entry in the bicycle race. We regret very much that the unfortunate accident in the bicycle race should be attributed to such causes, for the simple reason that there is positively, no ground on which to base such a stand. If there was any 'reckless riding' or 'deliberate intention' it surely was not on our side,-not that we wish to say that there was any on Yale's side...

...victories of Saturday are extremely creditable to the Mott Haven team and the nine. The Mott Haven team have succeeded in bringing back to Harvard one championship. Great praise for this is due to the untiring work of the H. A. A., and the faithful training of the individual athletes. The work of the nine, also, deserves more than passing mention. Their play was an improvement in every way over that at New Haven two weeks ago, and if the advancement continues to be as rapid in the next three weeks we shall expect another victor for Harvard over Yale...
