...saying “40,000 children die every day of malnutrition” is at best a non-sequitur and at worst dangerous and trivializing. For every injustice, there will always be something greater, and ranking them on a scale of acceptable moral outrage is nearly meaningless. Just because our standard of living is astronomically high compared to 86 percent of the world doesn’t mean that we can’t demand better. We have every right to feel desperation and outrage at our country...
