Jane Froman's $2,500,000 damage suit against Pan American World Airways for injuries in a 1943 Lisbon crash (TIME, March 23) ended last week. For her crippled leg, Miss Froman got $8,300; for her lost luggage, $750. Accordionist Gypsy Markoff, who had sought $1,000,000 for her own injuries and lost luggage, received $9,580.
