...Interscholastic Athletic Association of New England will hold its seventh annual championship meeting on Holmes Field, Friday afternoon. This meeting will be held under the auspices of the H. A. A. which originated it during the winter of 1885-86, between Hopkinson's School, Roxbury Latin and St. Mark's. Memorial Hall commemorates the spirit of self-sacrifice in which Harvard men laid down their lives when their country needed them. It stands to perpetuate that spirit in Harvard life. There is, however, no service which marks its place in the college. A post of the G. A. R. holds a short service in the transept on the morning of Memorial Day, but as a body of students we have never taken in that service or held one of our own. The Yale supporters had strong hopes of Eaton's ability to beat Fearing and when these four men sprang from the mark in the final heat, there was an abundance of lusty Yale cheering.
