Both of the other two crews rowed well. Crew 4 won by one-fourth a length. The final heat was then rowed between crews 1 and 4. Crew four had the course next the boat house. Crew one got a wretched start; their boat was pointed way out of the course. Crew 4 kept the lead and won by three fourths of a length...

...afternoon, and a cold breeze made the waiting on the water front rather disagreeable. The start was made at about twenty minutes past four, '93 having the course nearest the wall, '92 the outside and '91 the middle. At the finish '93 had the lead by over a boat length and looked as if they could have held it for some time longer. '92 was a good second and was also rowing well.
