After his graduation from the University in 1904, Mr. Roosevelt took a degree of bachelor of laws from the Columbia Law School in 1907, and was admitted to the New York Bar the same year. Three years later he was elected to the New York Senate, a position which he held for three years, resigning in 1913 to take up the office of Assistant Secretary of the Navy under the Wilson administration.
