...Atharva-Veda," by Professor W. D. Whitney h.'76, late of the Sanskrit Department of Yale, will soon be published in the Harvard Oriental Series by the University. Professor Whitney died in 1894, leaving the work unfinished. The manuscript was then turned over to Professor C. R. Lanman, of the Department of Indic. Philology, and editor of the Harvard Oriental Series, who has spent over five years in completing, revising, and editing it. ...Anagarika Dharmapala of Calcutta, India, spoke last night in the New Lecture Hall on "The Purpose and the Essential Teachings of Gotama Buddha." He was introduced by Professor C. R.
