Professor Lanson, who is exchange professor at Columbia from the French Universities during the first half-year, is delivering the Lowell Institute lectures in Boston this winter. He is widely known through his popular book on "L'Histoire de la Litterature Francaise," the first edition of which was published about 20 years ago. Today he will speak not only on literary topics, but on matters of general interest in contemporary France as he sees them...
