EDITORS HARVARD HERALD : In your article of Monday on fire-escapes it was mentioned that "the plan of permanent ladders, such as are now on Matthews and Holyoke, was objectionable in several ways. On the front of the buildings situated like Hollis, Stoughton and others the ladders would be ungainly-looking objects and give easy access to robbers in summer."
