...appointment of poet has been given to a Phi Beta Kappa man, Mr. Ernest Francisco Fenollossa. Mr. Fenollossa graduated from Harvard in 1874. In college he stood very high in his class and at graduation was honored with the position of class poet. He is a man of marked individuality, and uniqueness of ideas. About five years after he graduated from Harvard he went to Japan to study. During his long stay in this country he received an appointment in the Imperial University at Tokio.
