...Hurley also made several long gains, running in one punt, by clever dodging, for 50 yards. Le Moyne was in again at left end on the University team and was given special coaching by J. W. Hallowell '01. His punt of 45 yards against a strong wind was one of the best features of the afternoon's practice. Carrick was not over-keen, but waked up somewhat at the end of the play. For the second, Shurtleff and Harrison played a spirited game. A. Marshall was upon the field, but did not put on football clothes...

The first lost the ball once on downs and once on a fumble by Hurley. The second team was twice held for downs and was once forced to punt. Le Moyne, who, with some success, was tried at left end of the University team throughout the half punted excellently...
