...Yale game approaches, one cannot help observing among the undergraduates a feeling of assurance as to the outcome of the game. There seems to be a lack of appreciation of the severity of the coming contest, which tends almost towards over-confidence. ...June 18.--The University crew rowed over the four mile course this evening in 21 minutes, 18 seconds. There was a favoring wind and a slight tide to help them, so the time is not remarkable. The rowing was better than in the row on Friday. Last night's change seems to have improved the crew. The boat was steady during the entire four miles and the men were better together.
