Though handicapped by the smallness of the floor the 1924 quintet overcame the Tufts freshmen by the score of 27 to 18 last night in the Goddard Gymnasium at Medford. The University Freshmen started off the game with a rush that swept the Tufts men off their feet and left them still scoreless when the Freshmen had won 9 points. Tufts took time out to talk things over near the end of the first half and when they came back into the game they made two more baskets, leaving the score at the end of the first half...

This evening at 8 o'clock the University Freshmen will meet the Tufts 1924 five at Goddard Gymnasium, Medford. Although rather slow against Andover last week, the yearling quintet has been doing very well in the light scrimmages this week, and it is expected that the men will be in top notch form for this evening's game. It is possible that Captain Gordon will be unable to play, as he suffered a wrenched ankle in last Saturday's game, but he has not been in the scrimmages this week, and it is hoped that he will be in shape...

Captain Ogden of the losers was the only man to win for them, defeating W. R. Brewster '22, and Burke Boyce '22, of the Crimson team. Captain Ordway was the mainstay of the University fencers, and he easily won decisions over his three opponents, while Brewster won two of his. Boyce defeated Osterman of Bowdoin, and lost to Captain Ogden. R. P. Rogers '21 substituted for Boyce in the last match, and won a decisive victory over Taylor of the losers...
