Quarterback O'Hearn put the Yale eleven through a snappy signal practice the length of the gridiron, while the Yale students sang "Good Night Poor Harvard55. At 1.05 o'clock Captain Kane led the Harvard squad on to the field, the University cheering of the whole Crimson side of the stands gave the squad enthusiastic welcome. The first University eleven ran through a few signals, then retired to the benches. Referee Tiny Maxwell went out to the middle of the field and flipped the coin betwen Captains Kane and Aldrich.
