There was no scrimmage yesterday, the practice consisting of stiff breaking through and charging drill under Coach Cutts and of catching punts by Graydon, Gregory, Newhall, Rand and Starr. The ends, Bird, Blumer Forster, Houston, Kennard and Macdonald, were given their first day's practice in tackling the dummy under Coach Leary's instruction. Kennard and Macdonald made some excelleent dive tackles. Burr kicked several goals from placement from the 35-yard line. Newhall and Parker also practiced kicking, Newhall making some excelleent drop goals from the 25-yard line...

...substitutes for Captain Parker's position at centre are Barney, Nourse, Grant, Dore and Plumb. Either Starr or Newhall will play quarterback. Starr was quarterback in 1905 and last year Newhall played in that position, after Starr was transferred to end.
