Hardy galloped off down court, went into a low post and put up a short turnaround which missed and fell into U.S.F. hands. Dullea was fouled but missed the free throw and, after a wild scramble, Kanuth and Hardy came away with the rebound. Harrison called timeout and set up a play for Gallagher to tie the game.
