The University Health Services plans to launch a campaign to warn students of the dangers of smoking, Dr. Benjamin G. Ferris '40, director of Environmental Health and Safety, said yesterday.
Ferris pointed out that discouraging smoking by prohibiting it in University buildings, while medically desirable, involves action by the Administration. Dean Monro said last night, however, that such administrative action was extremely unlikely. "I would not be in favor of any," he added.
Harvard men will comprise more than half the crew of 12 bringing Endeavour to this country. Besides Millar and five other members of the Harvard Yacht Club, Dr. Benjamin G. Ferris, Jr. '40, the University's Environmental Health and Safety Officer, will aid in handling the vessel.
