...before leaving the University, a plan has been proposed, so arranged that students may pay their dues for life membership by installments, instead of in a lump sum of $50. The proposal is due to the fact that many Seniors, owing to the expenses connected with graduation, do not feel able to pay the entire dues at that time. In this way, provided students pay their installments regularly, they may obtain all the privileges of life membership, under the title of "participating life members." ...most significant feature of the schedule is the Athletic Committee's compliance with the wishes of the Faculty, as expressed in the athletic discussion last spring. As compared with the list of 12 games which were formerly played, the schedule seems really too short; but the football authorities feel sure that the reduction will be no very serious handicap to the success of the team. Another important question is that of withdrawing basketball from the list of University sports. Many feel that the interest at Harvard is not great enough to make the continuance of the game worth while, but those who enjoy playing will probably resent the idea of losing this opportunity to represent Harvard in athletic competition.
