The freshman crew has just received its new eight-oared shell from Waters. The boat is on nearly the same lines as the shells now rowed by '87 and '88, with the single exception of being a little fuller forward and aft.
As a whole, the crew fail to control themselves. They rush down on the recover and fail to get their weight right on. With hardly an exception the men settle badly at the finish.
