Perhaps there were sufficient grounds for maintaining secrecy in regard to the resolutions. It was probably meant in kindness to the students. They would be ignorant of the exact extent of the mine that was being secretly dug under their athletic interests, and of course would feel far more comfortable than if they knew just what threatened them.
