Besides the loss to Princeton, Yale also suffered a 2-1 loss to Connecticut last week. Yale fell to 0-3 in the Ivy League and 2-7 overall. The losses also increased the Elis' current losing streak to seven games.
Equally as impressive this past week was the play of the hated Elis, who scored a convincing 28-17 triumph over Connecticut. Paced by tailback Keith Price's two touchdowns, Yale jumped out to a 21-0 first-half lead and hung on for the victory.
And, they have already played Yale. Even the Elis can score 47 point against these guys.
Yale decimated Holy Cross, Harvard's opponent next Saturday, 47-22 in a wild one in New Haven, Conn. Bob Nelson's 64-yard rushing touchdown was one of three the Elis scored in the third quarter.
