...With the exception of one painting, each work uses a panel of scrawled words and letters to illustrate the verbal thoughts running through Brown's head as she comes into contact with the painting's subject. Coupled with the swirling, monochromatic blend of color on the other panels, the effect is both stunning and somewhat chaotic...

...original titled "Salvador." Though entertaining, this piece lacks some of the joyous swagger associated with Rollins' other Caribbean interpretations. Rollins digs marginally further into his improvisatory bag on the two other originals, the funk-infused "Did You See Harold Vick?" and the slow blues "Charles M." to greater effect. Just as in his live performances, the standout sideman on this album is pianist Stephen Scott. The vibrancy of Scott's solos safeguard the moderate pace of the album from becoming sluggish. Now that it has been put into effect, students can go to www.termbill.harvard.edu, enter their Harvard ID number and PIN, and voila! end their ignorance of their fiscal plights. In fact, such easy access to termbill information may well encourage us to be more responsible about those accumulating costs. We might even remember those Widener books hiding under our beds before three months have gone...
