...Marine Unit, as was originally planned, will be discharged in a body on Monday. The men turned in all of their ordinance and part of their clothing last Tuesday, and since then they have been allowed to wear civilian clothes. There is an excelent sonnet "End", by Joseph Auslander '17; a short piece, "Billy Sunday in Boston," by S. F. Damon '14, which shows at least that Mr. Damon is a clever son of Gertrude Stein by Donald Evans; and a couple of sonnets on "Bayonet Drill" by Damon and Malcolm Cowley '19, which are interesting souvenirs...

...bandsmen will be excused from drill every morning, and will rehearse and practice field music under the direction of the chief musician. Strict routine work has been laid out for the band and it will be followed exactly. The men will be held up to a very rigid discipline; they are excused from all kitchen or fatigue duties, but will loose their passes at the slightest evidence of insubordination. During the afternoon drills the bandmen will act as orderlies, stretcher bearers and will perform similar duties, when not with the band itself...
