...their labors for years and years. While the rest of the world continues arguing these enthusiasts excavate and study, scarcely touched by the course of events some thousands of miles away. It is they who in large measure furnish supplies of relies for tourists in "rubberneck wagons"; and these, doubtless, groan over the ignorant sightseers and their complete lack of appreciation. As a group such "scientists" will never be numerous but it will be a sad, dull day when there is no longer excavation to be done nor archaeologists...
...Pointing out that different institutions have different problems he declared that "sectarian colleges and universities most certainly have the right to exclude all but members of their races and believers in their creeds. Non-sectarian institutions, however, do not possess this right. While the position of the former is doubtless the more comfortable; that of the latter is probably less cramped...
There is little need of considering "Le Misanthrope", which was performed by Mile. The men and women who are speaking and writing for it are without pay and sacrificing time and money. Whether mistaken or not, their...
...accordance with the custom of exhibiting from time to time single loans of interest, the Fogg Art Museum is now showing in its Gallery a small painting by Fra Angelico. The painting is doubtless one of a series of panels which formerly formed the predella to the San Marco Altarpiece. Other of these predella panels are in the Academy at Florence; in Munich; in the National Gallery, Dublin; and in the Louvre. The panels represent scenes from the lives of St. Cosmo and St. Damian. The scene portrayed in the panel now at the Fogg Museum doubtless represents the "lady...
