...Maryinsky Theater in old St. Petersburg, Russia, Composer Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky thought that Nutcracker was much inferior to his The Sleeping Beauty. "Yes, the old fellow is getting worn out," he concluded. Tchaikovsky was one of music's great pessimists. The score is an indestructible delight. ...slacks and a white ribbed sweater, stood over the sink in the nearby kitchen, peeling some squash for dinner. Several times she stepped back inside the den just to hear the names. Amy Carter burst into her father's study at one point, and Carter, with great delight, showed her his new white speaker telephone that plugged directly into the White House switchboard. Tampa lost consecutively to Houston, San Diego, Buffalo, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Seattle (another expansion team), Miami and Kansas City. When I caught up with them in Denver their record was 0 and 8, but their spirits were stained with hope.
