Yesterday morning the freshman eleven played with the Gentlemen of Jamaica Plain and won 34 to 0. Ninety had the kick-off, and gradualty worked the ball towards the Jamaicas' goal, where a touch-down was made by Slocum, after a good rush by Hunnewell, in 8 minutes. Crane kicked the goal. By a long kick the ball was sent almost to Ninety's goal, but good rushing forced it towards the Jamaicas' goal, where Crane made a touch-down and kicked the goal. Wendell soon after hurt his knee and Atkinson took his place. No more points were made...

Play began briskly in the second half, Perry and Griffing carrying the ball over the line in three minutes. Goal. When the ball was again put in play, Crane kicked it fair at '89's 25-yard line, but Perry and Griffing carried it far up the field again. In the scrimmage Crane got the ball and ran unchecked, till forced out at '89's ten-yard line '90 lost the ball though, and Morgan, Perry and Griffing carried it up the field again, where Griffing made the last touchdown, and Scott kicked a goal. ...game, as a whole, was the roughest and liveliest one seen on Jarvis this year. '89 played hard, and far better than a year ago, Perry, Griffing, Woodbury and Morgan being positively brilliant. The freshmen showed a deplorable lack of sand and science; Crane and Hunnewell were the only ones who did any playing at all, and Tyson and Higginson the only ones who tackled for anything but cap-tassels. At least three men in the rush-line are of not the least use whatever...
