Judge and Jury Te TIME's cover package on Sonia Sotomayor [June 8]: I fully agree with Sotomayor's 2001 statement that she "would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life." Pagano spoke of how the church's insurance carrier refused to cover the event and his the scramble to find a one-day rider. Only one agent in the country was willing to underwrite the event, he said - for $2,600. That, he said, illustrates how insurance companies have too much control over regular people.
