Work was begun last November, and as the contract called for completion in twenty-three months, the buildings should have been finished a year from this summer. Since, however, they will not be completed until the fail of 1905, and since the School cannot afford to run two establishments, the new buildings will not be entered until the following summer...

...meeting of the Athletic Committee held last night the eligibility of Captain Clarkson of the nine was considered. The facts as stated by Clarkson are that on May 6, 1904, he signed a contract to play baseball during this season with the New York Americans, and on that day was paid a substantial sum, outside of his contract salary as an inducement to sign this contract.
