About six weeks ago Edward P. Farley, Chairman of the Shipping Board, sailed for Europe. Before sailing, he announced that the Shipping Board had finished with its plan of operating vessels through agents under the so-called MO4 contract (Managing Operators' contract No. 4). Geraldine Farrar's manager had made a contract with the pastor of the Wesley Memorial Church, Atlanta, for the use of his church's auditorium for Miss Farrar's concert on Nov. 30.
