...beginning. Coaching at this late day could be expected to do some good, but it cannot make champions. Interest in the Yale game will not flag much, for the rush line is strong still, and all the men will put in hard work the few remaining days before the contest in New York. [Globe...
...Harvard's favor, exactly the same as the final score last year, and Harvard began to feel victory near at hand. Moffat's famous kicking had not as yet been seen and so was not reckoned on, but the so and three quarters was nothing but a contest between the phenomenal kicking of this brilliant half-back and the dogged resistance of our eleven. Moreover the kicking won. Every time Moffat got within thirty yards of our poles his unerring kick sent the ball squarely over the bar, leaving no room for doubt either respecting the goal or the fairness...

It is rather unfortunate for us that the contest should necessarily take place so early in the season, for while Princeton's season closes shortly we shall not see the end before Thanksgiving, and it was difficult to bring the team into the proper condition so long before the decisive struggle with Yale. Whether victory or defeat be ours in the game Saturday we confidently trust that...
