Because of the unfavorable weather yesterday, the postponed hockey game between the University team and Dartmouth could not be played. Since the Dartmouth team was unable to remain longer in hope of ice, the game had to be given up for the present. As this contest will possibly decide the intercollegiate championship, it will be arranged for February 22 at the St. Nicholas Rink, New York, provided the consent of the Faculty can be obtained...

...introduction of this form of contest should call forth a large number of candidates at the trials tonight. Of recent years debating has not received the recognition and support which is its due, and as a result of this lack of interest the teams have been chosen chiefly from one group. This year's contest promises to be an exciting and rigorous one. With two vacancies to fill, and possibly only one, the make-up of the University team should be settled early in the spring, and by the time of the first championship game Harvard ought to be able to send on the field an exceedingly good team, able to excel in all departments of the game. Yale is apparently handicapped by a lack of material, but a long schedule with several professional games and coaching by a professional player should make up for that deficiency...
