...well founded complaint has come to us from many quarters relative to the poor condition of the bath accommodations of the gymnasium. It has happened not merely once, but many times, of late that the supply of hot water was entirely exhausted so that men were left the choice of waiting half an hour for a warm water bath, or of bathing at the time in cold water. Now all this would be pardonable if the gymnasium were poorly or insufficiently equipped; but when such excellent facilities are at hand as those we have the case is decidedly different...
While there is so much ground for complaint about the management of the Society, it will be impossible to reach any satisfactory result without more than half an hour's discussion. It would be exceedingly inadvisable to pass the matter over without discussion, for the Society's store has been badly managed in the past, and probably will be in the future if decisive action is not taken tomorrow. It is not our purpose to take sides on the question of the law suit. In the first place we have no knowledge of the point in question beyond the bare...
There has been considerable complaint lately of the rule at Memorial which requires a week's notice to be given before leaving the hall. This complaint is made not in behalf of those who wish to leave the hall, but for the many who are on the waiting list. There is no doubt that the rute is wise in many ways, and one that should be strictly adhered to in the ordinary condition of affairs. At this time, however, there seems to be every reason for a temporary suspension of the regulation in question. As things stand at present, each...
